Note: Before setting up the bot, please make sure you have the correct objects on your object path! You can download this set from Here
In order to get this Gate in your world, you will need to edit the 'gatenetwork.ini' file.
The first thing you will need to look at is the world you will be logging the bot into.
[Universe]
Host=auth.activeworlds.com
Port=5670
World=
Add the name of your world beside World=
Now that you have that done, you will need to fill in your licence information. If you are using this bot as a trial skip this step.
Licences can be purchased from Andras at Here.
You can also contact Andras via e-mail: andras@andras.net
Enter your licence number beside SerialNumber=
The next area you need to pay attention to is the [Bot] section. It looks something like this:
[Bot]
comment=# Bot credentials
BotName=GateNetwork
Owner=
Privpass=
comment0=# Each value should be in centimeter, yaw in 1/10th of degree Radius is the bot's area to query/rebuild
posx=0
posy=0
posz=0
Yaw=0
avatar=0
ID=
bot_radius=1300
Fill in your citizen number beside Owner= and your privlage password beside Privpass=
Next is the location and identification part. posx= is for east/west direction, posy= is for up/down, and poxz= is for North/South. Use negitive values for east,south,and down. 1 cordinate is 1000 centimiters, so if you wanted your gate to be at 8s 3w 0.5a you would enter this:
posx=3000
posy=500
posz=-8000
Choose a unique ID number, one that is not already present on the network. You can find the different ID numbers present on the network by clicking the "List of worlds on the network" sign in any gate supported world. Enter your chosen number beside ID=
Next is the number which users will dial to reach your world. Pick 6 numbers ranging between 1 and 38. Seperate them by spaces, so for example:
Code=1 5 29 37 30 2
You are finished setting up the ini file for your gate bot, however do not start it yet! We need to build the gate objects first!
With the buildbot of your choice ( if you don't know, download YASBB build bot from http://www.andras.net/yasbb.html )
Start your BuildBot in your world and make sure you offset the build to the cordinates and height you want your gate to go. They need to match the cordinates you entered in the Gate Bot ini file or else it won't work! Build from the propfile attached.
Note: If you have ED rights in the world, the objects will build as tourist objects. Try removing your ED rights to get the objects built in your own name.
Alright, now it is time to start your Gate Bot! Open the application and click on Start. The bot should start up, scan the gate objects, and announce itself on the network.
